KATHMANDU: The Embassy of India today signed two separate MoUs regarding Indian assistance worth Rs 76.55 million to different projects in Kathmandu and Kanchanpur districts.
According to the Indian Embassy, an MoU was signed with Kanchanpur District Development Committee and Shree Siddhanath Higher Secondary School and the other was with the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction and Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir (Ashram) in Kathmandu for the construction of two school buildings.
The Shree Siddhanath Higher Secondary School is located at Mahendranagar municipality, whose existing infrastructure is dilapidated and inadequate to accommodate all the students. The new building being constructed with the Indian assistance of Rs 32.33 million will provide better facilities to over 1,200 students.
India will also provide Rs 44.22 million for the construction of school building for Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir (Ashram) in Kathmandu. It is a non-profit organisation, they take care of orphans and adults from all over Nepal .
